Mitchell Shire Council has been working with representatives of the communities in Wandong/Heathcote Junction, Reedy Creek/Tyaak, Upper Plenty and Clonbinane/Waterford Park to raise awareness of emergency management; and adopt a community-based approach to preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergency events that may impact your community by delivering resilience initiatives such as chainsaw courses, property clean up challenges, trivia and other community events.
A Community Emergency Management Plan has been drafted for these communities and we are now seeking your feedback, they are available under the documents section of this page.
